  • Description: The Stanford Collective for Black Muslims is a student organization which indends to empower and support the Black Muslim community at Stanford through programming centered around community building, health and well-being, activism, personal development, and community service. Anti Blackness and Islamophobia are extremely prevalent in society, but powerful intersection between the two and it’s profound affect on Black Muslim life in America and abroad is rarely discussed. Nor are Black Muslim experiences of Islamophobia and Anti Blackness in our Black and Muslim communities respectively. We are committed to providing a safe space for Black Muslims and allies to engage in discussions on these matters, as well as to discuss the deep and robust history of Black Muslims in the United States and the contributions of the African diaspora to Islam historically. We are committed to providing inclusive and accessible programming for all members of the Stanford community.
