A San Francisco Bay Area native, Diane completed a B.A. in Communication Design with an option in Media Arts from California State University, Chico in 2001 and a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration and Certificate in Institutional Research from Pennsylvania State University in 2021.
After her undergraduate studies, Diane gained experience in advertising and marketing at the Chico Enterprise-Record newspaper. She then became the Office Manager of CSU, Chico's Educational Talent Search, a federally funded TRiO program designed to empower low-income and first-generation students to pursue higher education.
Diane joined the Stanford Office for Religious & Spiritual Life (ORSL) team in 2009 as Program Coordinator before her promotion to Rathbun Program Manager in 2014. As Rathbun Program Manager, she plans and executes all aspects of events, such as lectures, conferences, alumni events, and other university-related programs, including the Rathbun Visiting Fellow Program. In 2018, she was promoted to Director of Events in addition to her role as Rathbun Program Manager.
Dedicated to increasing multicultural awareness and understanding, she is an active alumna of Delta Xi Phi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. She has served in various leadership positions on Delta Xi Phi's National Board of Directors, including National Expansion Chair and National President.
