ABOUT US
The Office for Religious & Spiritual Life (ORSL) supports the spiritual, religious, ethical, and contemplative life of the Stanford community. We welcome people of every faith tradition and those with no religious affiliation, creating opportunities for reflection, dialogue, service, and belonging.
Our mission is
"To guide, nurture and enhance spiritual and religious life within the Stanford University community."
Whoever you are, wherever you are on your journey, we are here for you.
What We Do
We help every student connect with the tradition, practice, or source of meaning that nurtures, shapes, and sustains them. Through spiritual care, contemplative practice, community-building, and educational programs, ORSL supports the whole person and contributes to wellbeing, leadership development, and academic engagement.
Our Spaces
ORSL stewards three distinctive spaces that serve the Stanford community in different ways:
CIRCLE Multi-Faith Center
Learn about Stanford's multifaith center, where students gather for dialogue, programs, spiritual life, and community.
These spaces are accessible to all and compulsory to none. Whether you seek a faith community, a quiet place to reflect, or opportunities to engage with others across traditions, ORSL is here to accompany you wherever you are on your journey.
