Jain Students Association

  • Affiliation: None
  • Description: The Stanford Jain Students Association (Jain) is a VSO dedicated to bringing together students interested in learning about spirituality and inner connection, while providing a welcoming space to connect with Jain religion, culture, and values. Jain allows students to meet like-minded individuals and become part of a close-knit community where lifelong friendships are formed and supported. Together, this community organizes and celebrates events such as Paryushan and Mahavir Jayanti, plans trips to Jain temples and other universities, partners with on-campus organizations to lead large-scale community service initiatives, and participates in retreats to places such as Lake Tahoe and Jain ashrams. Through reflection, service, dialogue, and shared experiences, Jain encourages students to practice mindfulness, compassion, and balance while navigating the academic and personal demands of life at Stanford.
